How to Fix the “Check Your Connection and Try Again” Error in Google Translate

The error message “Check your connection and try again” in Google Translate usually appears when the app cannot connect to the internet or reach Google’s servers. As a result, users cannot translate text, voice, or images into their language, even if they have downloaded language packs for offline use.
This error can happen for several reasons, such as a weak internet connection, server outages, app glitches, authentication issues, or limits on your Google account. Since it depends on your network, the cause may be different for each person.
Before trying any fixes, check if Google Translate’s servers are working. If there is an outage, you will have to wait until Google restores the service.
If the servers are running normally, try the solutions below.

- Open Google Translate again and try translating something.
Clear App Cache

Tap on Storage.

Tap Clear cache, and open Google Translate again to see if the problem is solved.

Tap on “Switch account.”

Choose “Use Translate without an account.”

Restart the app and see if it works now.
Switch to a Different Google Account
If your Google account is temporarily restricted, such as when you exceed translation limits or have authentication errors, you can restore access by switching accounts.
Open Google Translate and tap the Profile icon.

Select ‘Switch account’ and then ‘Add another account.’

Enter your login details and sign in with the new account.
Use Google Translate’s Web Application
